Job Title: Junior Estimator

The Role: 
We are currently partnering with a premier London-based Workplace Design & Build consultancy to find an ambitious Junior Estimator.
 
Our client is a "sweet spot" employer: they are established enough (25 years in the game) to offer total job security and high-spec projects, yet small enough that you will receive direct mentorship from the Directors. You won't just be doing data entry; you will be learning the "art" of pre-construction and how to win multi-million-pound tenders.

What you'll be doing:
 
Supporting the Pre-Construction team across the full tender lifecycle, you will:

• Produce accurate take-offs from architectural drawings and specs.
• Develop and manage subcontractor tender packs.
• Negotiate with the supply chain to ensure competitive pricing.
• Assist in creating detailed Bills of Quantities.
• Work on a mix of projects, ranging from smaller boutique offices to large-scale refurbishments (£500k+).

Who we are looking for:

• Experience: Roughly 1-2 years in an estimating, surveying, or pre-con role (or a strong graduate with a placement year). Experience in fit-out or construction is a major plus.
• The Mindset: You are meticulous with numbers, have high attention to detail, and are genuinely curious about how buildings are put together.
• Communication: You're confident and professional—comfortable negotiating with suppliers and collaborating with internal design teams.
• Tech Skills: If you know Bluebeam or CostX, you're ahead of the curve, but a willingness to learn is more important.
