As a Senior Interior Designer you will play a key role in shaping innovative workplace environments that not only meet but exceed client expectations. You’ll work collaboratively alongside the wider project team — including technical designers, project managers, directors, visualisers, and graphic designers — to deliver intelligent and creative solutions.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing the full design journey, from interpreting client briefs and developing concepts through to supporting the implementation stage on site. This role requires clear communication, forward-thinking ideas, and the ability to translate client visions into inspiring, functional spaces.
In this position, you’ll be expected to contribute actively to the business, building strong client relationships, nurturing repeat opportunities, and helping to drive future growth.
Key responsibilities
Interpreting and developing detailed client briefs that align with their vision, needs, and long-term goals
Staying up to date on industry trends, design standards, and relevant regulations
Leading the creative process to deliver innovative workplace solutions that are both practical and forward-thinking
Considering the needs of all client stakeholders and identifying risks or opportunities for future change
Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure the design meets technical requirements, budget constraints, and project goals
Managing client approvals and presenting ideas and solutions at key stages
Clearly communicating design intent throughout the process to both internal teams and clients
Articulating the commercial value of design solutions to clients
Supporting business development through relationship building and participation in pitch and tender processes
Skills and experience
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in workplace design, ideally within a design and build or similar fast-paced environment
Strong technical abilities with excellent attention to detail
High level of commercial awareness and understanding of how design impacts business outcomes
Confident working under pressure and delivering to tight deadlines, particularly for competitive pitches and tenders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with other design software is advantageous
Strong time management skills, both for yourself and for guiding your team

Additional notes
Experience with Revit is desirable; training can be provided where necessary
Flexibility to travel within London and across the UK, depending on project requirements
