To support the growth of its EMEA operations, the company is seeking a junior-level professional to join its Business Development team. This role will focus on generating new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with the existing global client base, which includes major organizations across various industries.
Job Overview
The Business Development Coordinator will play a key role in maximizing value from business relationships. This position is integral to the BD team, with responsibilities including research and prospecting, contributing to business generation, client relations, and network activation.
Main Responsibilities
- Research and qualify potential clients and partners.
- Prospect new business opportunities to support regional business growth.
- Conduct follow-up calls and schedule introductory meetings.
- Update and maintain client relationship management tools (CRM).
- Send personalized emails and identify opportunities to engage clients about the company’s services and value proposition.
- Assist in responding to requests for proposals (PQQ and RFP) in collaboration with the Design, Workplace Strategy, Technology, Graphics, and Delivery teams.
- Contribute to the planning and organization of events in Amsterdam and across Europe in coordination with the marketing team.
- Engage with the global network.
- Stay informed about corporate workplace trends and challenges.
General Expectations - Proficiency in using CRM software (HubSpot) and other sales tools to efficiently manage leads and track sales activities.
- Flexibility in handling unexpected challenges and shifting priorities.
- Willingness to share information, contribute to problem resolution, and exchange best practices.
- Regular reporting to senior team members on progress toward targets and any issues encountered.
- Providing regular feedback to the line manager on progress against objectives.
Successful Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have a collaborative and supportive attitude, enjoying teamwork while also taking initiative in independent tasks. As part of the EMEA team (170 people), the candidate will interact with colleagues across 27 global studios. The candidate should be eager to explore new approaches, adapt quickly, and learn from previous experiences. A passion for networking and attending Corporate Real Estate, Workplace, and Design events is a plus.
The candidate will receive training and onboarding from a mentor, who will provide tools and best practices. However, creativity and leadership will be essential in developing evolving strategic materials.
Qualifications & Key Competencies - Interest in working with reputable clients in a creative workplace environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and influencing abilities.
- Customer service-driven, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Language skills: Dutch (preferred) and fluent English.
