Hours, Training and Location:
- Branch location: City West branch, 278 Spencer Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.
- Employment type: Permanent, full time.
- This branch's operating hours are 9:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday. However, you will be required to work on a rotating roster between the hours of 8:30am to 5pm on a roster basis.
- Comprehensive training provided.
The opportunity: Join our
City West as a Personal Banking Teller, where you will be responsible for providing new and existing members with exceptional service, ensuring a seamless banking experience.
In this role, you will deliver accurate and efficient day‑to‑day teller services, including cash handling, transaction processing, and data entry. You will support members with new memberships, accounts, term deposits, and access enquiries, as well as maintain and update existing member records and instructions, always ensuring a high standard of service and attention to detail.
Responsibilities: - Process changes to existing member records and/or member instructions.
- Complete day-to-day administrative activities.
- Engage members in value‑based conversations to identify needs and generate effective referrals, such as home loan and insurance, to the appropriate team members.
- Conduct proactive outbound nurture calls to drive engagement and sales outcomes.
- Maintain strong knowledge of BankVic’s products and services.
- This role will be required to provide relief in other branch locations.
To be successful in this role, you will have: - Demonstrated experience in a teller capacity within a branch environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial services products and systems and general insurance products.
- Knowledge and understanding of customer service procedures and techniques.
- RG146 Tier 2 certified, or willing to complete in-house.
- Experience in cash handling and daily balancing protocols is required.
- You have a member (customer) centric attitude and a passion for outstanding customer service, all the time.
- Great attention to detail, and care about the accuracy of your work.
