The opportunity:
As the Automation Marketing Specialist, you will lead the development, execution, and ongoing optimisation of our member lifecycle strategy across BankVic’s digital channels. Leveraging data driven insights, you will design and deliver targeted marketing programs that drive engagement, build brand awareness, improve retention, and support cross sell initiatives across BankVic’s product portfolio.
You’ll create and optimise always on, automated marketing programs across the member lifecycle, with a strong focus on personalisation. Acting as the key SME for our marketing automation platform (Marketo), you’ll own day to day platform performance and deliver end to end eDM campaigns, while also supporting brand campaigns and building impactful 1:1 marketing strategies across digital and offline channels.
Please note, this role is a 12-month parental leave cover.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Brand and Marketing in the development and execution of brand campaign activity.
- Develop a deep understanding of the member lifecycle, including life stage triggers, to improve the customer experience.
- Partner with internal and external teams to develop and execute personalised eDM engagement programs that leverage paid, organic, and partner channels, and ensure successful delivery and optimisation of 1:1 communication, and product/service purchase experiences run seamlessly.
- Monitor competitor marketing activity and manage tracking and reporting on eDM marketing activity results.
- Coordinate stakeholder approval of all assets, adhere to relevant risk management processes and controls, manage key partner relationships, and effectively manage key internal stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
Who we are looking for: - Degree qualified in business or marketing.
- Strong understanding of Marketing Automation Platforms or CRM (Marketo experience preferred) with 3-5 years’ experience working day-to-day within a platform.
- Experience working in a similar automation or direct marketing role for 3-5 years, with the ability to manage multiple marketing campaigns and projects with simultaneous tasks and deadlines.
- Understanding and knowledge of the retail banking marketing in Australia.
- Experience in developing lifecycle programs; comfortable with segmentation, automation strategy, marketing using digital channels.
- Excellent communication and writing skills with demonstrated experience in development of content strategy and content writing.
- Proven experience delivering customer lifecycle marketing, including direct and content led campaigns, 1:1 automated journeys, and trigger-based programs that drive customer value.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and managing email and automated campaigns using marketing automation platforms, with end-to-end ownership from strategy and creative briefing through to execution and post campaign reporting.
- Solid understanding of the digital customer journey, including performance metrics, channels, audience building, and best practice, with the ability to troubleshoot data and automation issues and implement effective solutions.
