Are you a Geologist who thrives in the pit? 
 
Talent Source HR & Recruitment Solutions, in partnership with Serp Recruitment, is seeking an experienced Geologist for an immediate start in the Georgetown region.
 
Our client is a growing player in the gold sector, offering a fast-paced environment and a clear path to long-term stability. This is an initial contract role with a strong possibility of transitioning to a permanent position for the right candidate.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
This role is centered on high-level production support and precision grade control. Your daily focus will include:

• Pit Operations: Executing all control activities within the open pit, including geological mapping, sampling, and the physical marking of ore blocks.
• Quality Assurance: Managing grade control sampling programs to ensure the highest standards of data collection and recording.
• Field Inspections: Conducting regular pit inspections to monitor ore/waste boundaries and ensure compliance with geological models.
• Data Integrity: Maintaining accurate geological databases to support production targets and minimize dilution.

Your Profile
 
We are looking for a practical, field-ready Geologist who meets the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Geoscience.
• Technical Skill: Proven experience in open-pit mining with a specifically strong capability in grade control.
• Availability: Ability to start immediately and commit to a DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) arrangement.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
