English Language Partners is a not-for-profit, education provider with NZQA category 1 status, that has been providing English language programmes and settlement support to adult migrants and people from refugee and asylum backgrounds throughout New Zealand for over 40 years.

With 21 centres spanning from Whangārei to Invercargill, our dedicated team of 380 staff and 850 volunteers annually support over 8,000 learners. As an experienced administrator, you're skilled at organizing both yourself and others. You have a strong sense of initiative and enjoy doing things before being asked to make things run better, smoother, faster. You are a real people person who enjoys working alongside people from diverse backgrounds and wants a career that can work around your lifestyle and existing commitments. 

What you’ll be doing?

• Supporting our Centre Manager, Centre Coordinator, teachers, learners, volunteers and visitors with all the tasks required to keep our Timaru centre operating smoothly.
• Key tasks will include front desk/reception, administration, finance and programme support, teacher and learner support, office management, data entry and file management.
• Permanent Part-time, 10 hours per week, rate: $28.56 per hour. Hours can be worked flexibly over 3 to 4 days.

Is this you?

• Proven administration experience with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational, multitasking and administration skills.
• Confident IT user with experience across the Microsoft office suite, social media, different systems and database.
• A clear and friendly communication style, fluency in English (spoken and written) with a strong customer service ethos.
• Experience in Adult Education or TESOL.
• Fluency in a second language is highly desirable.
• Experience working with former refugees, migrants and/or people from other cultures.
• Knowledge of education and immigration sector and voluntary organisations.
