English Language Partners is a not-for-profit, award-winning education provider with NZQA category 1 endorsement, that has been providing English language programmes and settlement services to adult migrants and former refugees throughout New Zealand for over 40 years.
We are passionate about supporting former refugees and migrants participate successfully in all aspects of life in Aotearoa New Zealand and we are looking for your help to achieve this.
With 21 centres spanning from Whangārei to Invercargill, our dedicated team of 380 staff and 850 volunteers annually support over 8,000 learners. Our National Office, located in a great office space on The Terrace in Wellington, serves as our head office.
About the role
This is a unique opportunity to bring your exceptional organisational skills to a role that makes a real difference to ELP. As Executive Assistant to the CE, you'll strengthen our organisational effectiveness through your attention to detail and systematic approach.
Working closely with the CE, you'll apply your excellent organisational skills to create efficient processes that add value. Your strategic judgment will help you anticipate needs and manage competing priorities, while your diplomatic capabilities enable you to represent the CE effectively across all stakeholder interactions.
Beyond executive support, you'll oversee the practical management of our National Office, maintaining positive relationships with our landlord and service providers.
This role demands excellent attention to detail, high-level accuracy, executive discretion, and the ability to navigate complex situations with minimal guidance.
By connecting the CE's vision with day-to-day operations, you'll help ELP maximise its impact in learners' lives.
Who you are
- You have at least five years' experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior executives, with a demonstrated ability to create efficient systems and processes.
- You excel at using initiative and foresight to prioritise effectively, helping the CE achieve goals and meet deadlines through meticulous planning and organisation.
- You have a natural drive for excellence and exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of your work.
- Your written and verbal communication skills are outstanding, with the ability to draft clear, precise documentation.
- You demonstrate excellent proficiency with MS applications (SharePoint experience would be beneficial) and can optimise digital systems to enhance productivity.
- You build strong relationships both internally and externally, managing complex interactions with diplomacy and professionalism.
- You're a collaborative team player who contributes ideas and initiates improvements to organisational systems.
- You possess a strong customer service orientation and are committed to meeting the needs of both internal and external stakeholders through efficient, responsive support.
