We are currently looking for a number of experienced
Mechanical Engineers from
Mechanical background who are creative, can think outside the box and manage a busy workload, to join our teams.
You will be working at our Malaga base office alongside fantastic teams of highly skilled individuals, to deliver site specific solutions to our clients. This will entail a range of activities that will keep you engaged and present great opportunities for professional growth and development.
About You: This position will suit a proactive and technically skilled professional who thrives in a collaborative project environment. You bring a strong mix of engineering expertise and interpersonal capabilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Sound technical engineering knowledge and understanding – specifically in Pipeline, Hydraulic Calculations, Pumps, Valves, generators, testing and commissioning process, ITP
- High level of communication, written and interpersonal skills.
- Sound computer literacy skills – proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Maintain personal accountability and be able to work autonomously
- Awareness and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practice.
- A valid WA manual driver’s license.
Requirements: - Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical. or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the construction and engineering industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding.
- Knowledge of construction activities and processes.
Key Duties of this role include. - Technically oversee the full lifecycle (design, assembly, inspect, test, installation, and commission) of the project.
- Assist the Project team in project execution for design, product selection, product specification, Client advice, Technical Queries, construction, and assembly support and testing and commissioning.
- Review tender bids and provide technical input to the design and product specification as well as pricing estimations in accordance with client and Australian Standards.
- Review, understand and enforce client specifications, Australian Standards and local regulations or guidelines.
- Regularly travel to site to assist with overseeing construction, conduct quality inspections and commissioning.
- Be knowledgeable in multi-disciplinary facets of construction with a strong focus on pumping, pipeline, and power station installations.
- Attend client meetings and participate in technical discussions.
- Perform quality inspections on product or system workmanship, design, installation, and integrity.
- Review client scope of works and execute technical deliverables such as design drawings, calculations, data sheets, equipment lists, material take-off list, bill of materials, subcontractor scopes, testing and commissioning plans, training packages, IOM manuals, specifications, functional descriptions, ITPs, test reports, technical reports and any other works deemed necessary for the project execution.
- Review subcontractor workmanship and manage quality.
- Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
- Provide budget estimates for scope variations or small projects.
- Practice safety in design and uphold safety practices in day to day works.
- Provide technical guidance around mechanical and SMP design including pipe sizing and material selection, pipe fittings, hydraulic systems and networks, pump sizing, valve selection, stress analysis and structural performance.
- Perform any additional tasks as required from time to time.
