About The Opportunity:
Join our dynamic Projects team as a Senior Project Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of on-site projects. You’ll be responsible for managing all technical and commercial aspects, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
This position will be based on an ongoing FIFO 8:6 roster.
- Lead the on-site engineering function, ensuring works are delivered to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractor and supplier performance.
- Review and approve engineering documentation, drawings, and technical submittals.
- Ensure all works are executed in accordance with design specifications, codes, and standards.
- Implement and maintain project quality processes, including inspections and test plans (ITPs).
- Oversee design changes, site instructions, and engineering change management.
- Support the Project Manager in administering contracts and managing variations/claims.
- Assist in cost forecasting and monitoring project budgets.
- Review subcontractor claims and progress claims for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure safety is a top priority in all engineering and construction activities.
- Provide engineering input into Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), risk assessments, and method statements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and Graduates.
- Lead coordination between engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.

- Strong technical knowledge and a solid understanding of engineering principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal, to engage effectively across teams.
- Proficiency in relevant computer systems and software tools.
- Proven ability to build relationships and negotiate with stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors.
- A high level of personal accountability and commitment to safety, quality, and performance.
Requirements: - Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil disciplines.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the construction and engineering industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding.
- Awareness and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices.
- Prior exposure to earthworks, concrete, structures and dewatering
