UON’s business centres around the design, manufacturing, supply, construction and maintenance of remote, off-grid power and water infrastructure, with many of the products manufactured in UON’s Malaga facility, based on proprietary and patented designs.

UON is currently seeking experienced and self-motivated Trade Assistant to join our Production team at UON’s Malaga Facility.

About The Opportunity: 

Responsible for carrying out Mechanical tasks within the Production facilities. 

• Immediate start opportunity
• Working hours: 6.00am-2.30pm + early Finish on Fridays
• Location: UON’s Malaga facility (enclosed workshop)

Responsibilities: 

• Perform timely Hydrostatic testing of all pipe spools manufactured. within the department.
• Perform tests in line with written test methodology and pressures.
• Marking up any reject spools for rework and subsequent re-testing.
• Perform Test documentation recording with spool ID numbers accurate and signed.
• Clean and Seal spool threads with silicone prior to galvanising treatment.
• Perform trouble shooting and provide professional advice as required.
• Maintain technical client liaison at various stages of Jobs.
• Assist tradesmen with TA duties.

About You: 

• High level of self-management and accountability
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience working with pipe spool assembly and disassembly.
• Experience operating hand tools and machinery such as Drills, Spanners, and Saws
• Experience within the manufacturing industry using overhead cranes and general lifting practices.
• Experience reading design drawings and using measuring tools.

Requirements: 

• Current Manual WA HR Class Drivers Licence
• Current High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF)
• Desirable - High Risk Work Licence -Basic Rigging (RB), or Dogging (DG)
