UON’s business centres around the design, manufacturing, supply, construction and maintenance of remote, off-g rid power and water infrastructure, with many of the products manufactured in UON’s Malaga facility, based on proprietary and patented designs.

About The Opportunity: 

Provide planning support and advice to the Operations and Project teams, including providing the project teams with assistance to complete works in accordance with the contract documentation and UON standards and procedures.

• Assist the project teams to complete works in accordance with the contract documentation and UON Standards and Procedures.
• Throughout the construction phase review, assess the project programme and mark changes as required.
• Establish effective short and long-term plans while facilitating effective project planning, procurement and construction.
• Advise on project planning and programming resource requirements to suit project requirements.
• Understand the key technical requirements of the project and how they relate to staging and timing of the works. Ensure these technical requirements are considered both during the establishment of project programmes and for ongoing updates.
• Assist in the provision of key planning and programme status with regards to progress, time, cost and contractual issues.
• Monitor progress against approved contract baseline and provide guidance around impacts to milestones and end dates to the project manager as appropriate.
• In collaboration with the project manager and project team, develop reschedule programmes in line with changes to the project as required.

• Proven leadership abilities and an understanding of Building Construction Australian Standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and relevant standards, codes & regulations.

Requirements: 

• A tertiary degree in Engineering, Project Management, or similar is preferred but not essential.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience analysing intricate project planning issues and inter relationships between projects.
• Extensive knowledge of project scheduling tools and systems.
• Extensive knowledge of Office Software, MS Project, MS Excel, and Primavera P6.
• Experience forecasting labour demand and cost.
• Good knowledge of Primavera P6 and advanced computer skills.
