UON’s business centres around the design, manufacturing, supply, construction and maintenance of remote, off-grid power and water infrastructure, with many of the products manufactured in UON’s Malaga facility, based on proprietary and patented designs.
About The Opportunity: The Financial Controller is responsible for the planning, implementation, managing and running finance activities of the company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations.
Core Responsibilities: - Managing the financial reporting for the organisation. This includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
- Preparation and completion of year-end financial statements and overseeing the annual external audit process.
- Managing and monitoring cashflow and working capital.
- Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the organisation and liaising with the external tax firm for specialist advice.
- Managing and overseeing the company's banking and borrowing arrangements.
- Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions.
- Implementing improvements to system and software implementation as well as existing processes, procedures, and controls.
- Perform any additional tasks as required from time to time.
About You: - Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
- Ability to strategize and problem solve.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- An analytical mind.
Requirements:
- CA/CPA qualified.
- A minimum of 10 years industry experience (Mining or Energy Industry).
- Proficient in Power BI.
- Previous experience with ERP systems.
- Strong commercial and financial modelling background.
