As part of our continued growth, UON is seeking a highly skilled and strategic
Business Development Manager/Account Manager to join our Kalgoorlie team.
About The Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Manager: Business Development, the successful applicant will oversee and manage key client relationships, ensuring both existing and new customer bases grow and thrive.
This role requires a strategic approach to business development, leveraging industry expertise and customer-focused sales strategies to drive growth.
- Building authentic relationships by researching potential customers to gain comprehensive understanding of their needs and how our solutions meet those needs.
- Initiating contact with potential customers, responding to inbound inquiries, engaging with their interests, and utilising their ability to work successfully to benefit from UON solutions.
- Presenting product information to customers once you have identified their needs.
- Managing and maintaining a pipeline of interested prospects and engaging Manager – Corporate Development for next steps
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, pre-contracts, operations, marketing) to ensure high-quality bids are produced and client requirements are met.
About You: - 5 years’ experience in key account management or business development roles, with a proven track record of managing major accounts and exceeding sales targets.
- A bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Expertise in selling solutions such as renewable energy and battery storage, load bank systems, low-voltage switchboards, off-grid power solutions, dewatering, and pumping systems.
- Strong commitment to customer orientation, with the ability to make commercially sound decisions that benefit both the client and the business.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
- Ability to manage and influence major accounts across digital and traditional sectors, adapting to the needs of a dynamic, high-growth business.
- A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
