UON is currently seeking experienced and self-motivated Electrician to join our Energy team at UON’s Kalgoorlie Facility on a 8/6  roster as below:

• A Grade Electrical License.
• State Electrical Licence
• Current and valid driver’s license
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical at all times.
• Experience in Power Generation / Diesel Generator Assembly Installation & commissioning ( MUST)
• HV switching to maintain/operate a UON power station.
• Experience with submersible pump cable joins.
• Experience in renewable energy field.
• Experience within a Workshop/Manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the mining and resources industry - desirable.
• Excellent HSE compliance and ability to work unsupervised
• Hold a current and valid WA manual C drive licence (preferable HR licence )
• Clear Police clearance 

• Working knowledge of applicable standards including AS3000/3008/3010/3019/3760.
• Manufacturing, repair and modification of UON products as required - to customer specification.
• Assembly, point-to-point wiring, repair and modification of UON products as required
• Interpret electrical schematics and General Arrangement diagrams
• Testing and fault-finding of UON products using appropriate testing equipment
• Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and schematics.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
• Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
• Completion of all mandatory installation and testing documentation within the Company's expectations.
• Participation and delivery of tasks and work on site and in the workshop, as directed by Supervision/management
• Mentor and train trade assistants and apprentices from time to time
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with clients during on-site works
• When working on site Assist Supervision with consumable list or parts required for job completion.
