We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a Gas Meter Exchange program in Calgary on a full-time, 10-month maternity leave contract, and this is the kind of role where your phone presence and organization make an immediate difference.
When a customer's appointment needs to move, or their gas service needs to be relit after a meter exchange, you are the person who makes it happen. You will confirm and reschedule appointments, coordinate relights with the right technician, and keep customers informed from the first call to the final follow-up.

You report directly to the Manager, Project Strategy & Enablement, giving you close access to the people who shape how the program runs.
What You'll Be Doing
Answering inbound customer calls and resolving questions quickly and professionally
Making outbound calls to confirm appointments and reschedule when plans change
Coordinating relights and following up so customers are never left waiting
Supporting relight dispatch by following defined escalation and coverage procedures and identifying the right technician or next step
Monitoring voicemail and returning callbacks promptly so nothing slips through the cracks
Documenting every call outcome and update accurately in internal systems
Providing clear handoffs between shifts so the next person can pick up seamlessly
Helping the program hit its SLA targets and reduce escalations caused by coverage gaps
What We're Looking For
Availability to work the regular shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM MST, Monday to Friday
Flexibility to work weekends when needed
Strong phone presence and customer service skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in time-sensitive situations
Comfort following structured processes and escalation paths
Prior call centre, dispatch, or customer operations experience is preferred
Utility or emergency-response experience is an asset
Compensation & Work Model
$20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience. Full-time, temporary 10-month contract covering a maternity leave. On-site / hybrid work model, with details confirmed during the screening process. Target start date is mid-to-late September 2026.
