Debugger Technician
Location: Memphis, TN
Shift: 1st Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday-Friday)

Job Summary
The Debugger Technician is responsible for advanced troubleshooting and component-level debug of complex electronic assemblies within the manufacturing environment. This role focuses on diagnosing system failures, analyzing test results, and identifying root causes using advanced diagnostic tools before determining repair actions.
 
Principal Accountabilities

• Perform advanced board-level troubleshooting and component level debug on complex multilayer server and data center PCBAs including CPU, GPU, FPGA, ASIC, memory, and power subsystems.
• Diagnose high speed digital, power distribution, and mixed signal circuits using schematics, PCB layout files, POST codes, BIOS logs, boundary scan, and diagnostic utilities.
• Operate advanced test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and automated test platforms.
• Execute precision debug of fine-pitch and large body BGAs using controlled thermal profiles, X-ray verification, and industry-standard rework practices.
• Analyze software, test, protocol, and script logs to determine root causes of test failures.
• Perform root cause failure analysis, identify systemic failure trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to resolve functionality gaps, update debug methodologies, and improve diagnostic processes.
• Develop and maintain Debug Guides, diagnostic flowcharts, and troubleshooting documentation to standardize processes across technicians.
• Track yield performance, repair cycle time, and failure trends to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with installation, validation, and optimization of test and debug equipment used in high-value repair environments.
• Ensure strict adherence to ESD, safety, and quality standards when handling sensitive server components.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.

• 5+ years of experience debugging enterprise servers, storage systems, or networking hardware.
• Strong understanding of server power architecture including VRMs, multiphase regulators, and power sequencing.
• Experience with DDR memory debugging, PCIe interfaces, and high-speed interconnects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and PCB layout files.
• Experience working with high-value electronics and advanced diagnostic equipment.
