What You’ll Be Responsible For
Planning and assigning company trucks to customer pickup and delivery loads
Maximizing equipment utilization and minimizing empty miles
Sourcing and securing additional freight as needed
Coordinating U.S.-to-Canada backhaul freight
Dispatching trucks and communicating clear trip plans to drivers
Monitoring load progress to ensure on-time service
Troubleshooting service disruptions and adjusting plans as needed
Scheduling pickup and delivery appointments
Collaborating with planners, dispatchers, drivers, and operations leadership
Ensuring compliance with Hours-of-Service regulations and cross-border requirements
Maintaining accurate documentation within the Transportation Management System
What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of experience in dispatch, truckload planning, or freight coordination
1–3 years of experience sourcing freight in the United States
Strong computer skills and comfort learning new systems
Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word
Understanding of Hours-of-Service and cross-border transportation (asset)
Experience with TruckMate or similar TMS (asset)
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
High attention to detail and sound judgment
Compensation
$22–$30/hour, based on experience and capability
