About the Role As a Carrier Sales Representative, you’ll be at the heart of operations, ensuring freight moves smoothly across borders while strengthening relationships with carrier partners. You’ll focus on building and maintaining a strong refrigerated/produce carrier network, negotiating rates, tracking shipments, and delivering exceptional service.
This is a role for someone who’s strategic, resilient, and customer-focused – someone who doesn’t just move freight but creates value for both customers and carriers.
What You’ll Do - Source, onboard, and manage carrier partners with a focus on refrigerated and produce transportation.
- Negotiate rates, capacity, and service agreements with carriers.
- Build strong relationships with carriers to ensure reliable cross-border freight movement.
- Monitor and track shipments to guarantee on-time delivery and proactive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with account managers and operations teams to provide customers with a seamless experience.
- Stay current with market conditions, capacity trends, and carrier performance organizational abilities.
What We're Looking For - Experience: 3+ years in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or transportation/logistics.
- Industry Knowledge: Proven experience working with refrigerated/produce freight and cross-border logistics.
- Customer Service Mindset: Strong ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
- Negotiation Skills: Comfortable with rate discussions and handling carrier objections.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics systems.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
