Job Opportunity: AR & Collections Specialist
Location: Tampa, FL
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week

Reports to: Accounts Receivable Manager

As an AR & Collections Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our Finance team, owning the accounts receivable process for assigned clients. You'll manage collections, ensure accurate accounting, and be a key player in shaping how we strengthen client relationships while driving timely payments.

Responsibilities:
- Lead B2B collections for assigned accounts.
- Monitor AR aging reports and drive timely collections.
- Partner with the collections team to refine processes.
- Communicate proactively with customers by phone, email, and fax to resolve outstanding invoices.
- Collaborate internally to resolve billing disputes quickly.
- Recommend accounts for legal action and coordinate with agencies/attorneys.
- Reconcile customer accounts, clean up discrepancies, and manage EFT vendor setup.
- Support the monthly close process and related accounting duties.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of accounts receivable and collections experience.
- Strong knowledge of debits/credits and AR accounting principles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Zuora.
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
- Comfortable working independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- A college degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
