Primary Function
As a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer, you'll support Retail Commissions and Amortization processes by designing, developing, and optimizing batch applications. You'll work closely with IT, business units, and control teams to ensure accurate reporting and smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and other DB objects
• Implement Oracle features: analytical functions, MERGE, WITH clause, partitioning
• Create and support commission reporting applications
• Develop Unix scripts to manage report transfers via sFTP
• Conduct thorough unit and system testing before user acceptance testing
• Monitor and troubleshoot batch processes, ensuring timely completion
• Maintain version control and documentation using SVN and ControlM
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and follow SOX-compliant deployment practices
• Respond to ad-hoc data and enhancement requests
• Provide after-hours support for job failures when needed

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software development
• 10+ years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL (Oracle 12c or 19c)
• 5+ years working in Data Warehouse environments
• Advanced SQL skills: performance tuning, file handling, exception management
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently

• Must be local to Houston or TX - onsite required Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
• No driving required
• No NERC or ERCOT access required
• Shore designation: Onshore
