About the Role
TAPP Workforce Solutions Inc. is hiring Field Service Technician Leads across British Columbia. This is a leadership-driven field role ideal for candidates with a Class B Gas Ticket who enjoy hands-on work and mentoring others. You'll be instrumental in ensuring quality gas meter installations while supporting Field Service Leaders and guiding junior techs in the field.
What You'll Do �� Installation & Technical Work

• Install gas meters at residential and small commercial properties
• Conduct leak tests and safety inspections
• Ensure compliance with utility codes and safety standards

�� Leadership Support

• Assist Field Service Leaders in coordinating daily field activities
• Serve as acting leader when the Field Service Leader is unavailable
• Mentor junior technicians and monitor job performance

��️ Safety & Compliance

• Uphold safety protocols, PPE requirements, and risk assessments
• Participate in team safety meetings and training

�� Customer Interaction

• Professionally represent the company during on-site visits
• Explain work procedures and handle customer questions

�� Documentation & Reporting

• Complete digital work orders using handheld devices
• Accurately report installation status and inventory usage

What You Bring ✅ Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of gas meter installation experience
• Prior leadership or team lead experience is an asset

��️ Skills & Competencies

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Confident, organized, and solution-oriented
• Comfortable with handheld tech for reporting

�� Certifications & Licenses

• Class B Gas Ticket (Required)
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Must pass a criminal background check

Training Program
��‍�� Paid 3-Week Training
Covers safety, customer service, and technical skill development. Includes hands-on mentoring with senior team leaders.
