Quality Control Inspector (Level 3 & 4) Location: Columbia, South Carolina Pay Rate:
Level 3: $18.50/hour
Level 4: $19.25–$20.00/hour
Shift:
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
About the Role: We’re looking for detail-oriented and dependable individuals to join our Quality Control team. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will inspect components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform visual inspections of electronic and mechanical assemblies
Use gauges, microscopes, templates, and other tools to verify product quality
Enter quality data into electronic systems accurately
Assist in identifying and reporting product defects and process deviations
Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards
Support audits, process checks, and non-conforming material disposition
Quality Control Inspector 3:
Typically 1+ years of quality inspection or relevant experience
Familiar with inspection techniques and tools (microscopes, measurement tools, etc.)
Able to read moderately complex instructions and manufacturing documentation
Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
Quality Control Inspector 4:
Typically 2+ years of experience in quality control
Demonstrates advanced functional knowledge and may lead or guide others
IPC certification preferred
Capable of interpreting diagrams and solving basic quality issues independently
Physical Requirements:
Sit, stand, or walk for long periods
Frequently lift up to 25 lbs
Perform tasks requiring close vision, color recognition, and depth perception
Work may involve repetitive motion and moderate noise
