Looking for an experienced Diesel Technician who can Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues in PACCAR diesel engines.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of PACCAR engines and trucks. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of diesel engine repair and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues in PACCAR diesel engines.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
• Repair or replace defective parts, such as alternators, starters, pumps, and electrical components.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections to assess the condition of engines and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
• Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
• Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest PACCAR diagnostic tools, software updates, and repair techniques.
• Comply with all safety guidelines and regulations.
• Other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• PACCAR certification required.
• Minimum of [X years] experience as a diesel technician, preferably with PACCAR engines.
• Strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics and electronic systems.
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred
Shift: 7am-5:30pm
Compensation: $23 an hour
