Our client is seeking a talented Maintenance Technician to join a diverse team to support production and manufacturing.
This is a supportive role to the Diesel Mechanic.
JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Maintenance Technician DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager FLSA: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician inspects, diagnoses, and repairs power units. Collaborate with other team
members to ensure equipment is safely and efficiently operating to the drivers needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Consulting with the Lead Technician to determine which repairs are covered under warranty
Reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required
Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues
Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and emission systems
Doing preventative maintenance repairs completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement,
electrical system repairs, diagnosis, and cooling system maintenance on diesel engine vehicles
Skilled at drivability diagnosis and repair
Other projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
High School diploma or GED required.
Successful completion and passing of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Technical certification in vehicle or diesel repair (Preferred)
Mechanical aptitude and at least 5 years of diesel diagnosis repair experience
Basic computer skills
Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
