Job Title: Welder – Agricultural Equipment Specialist
Location: Taber, Alberta
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday to Friday, with potential for occasional on-call work)
Position Summary
An industry leader in agricultural machinery is looking for a skilled Welder with experience in farming or agricultural settings to join their growing team. The company specializes in row crop equipment and partners with world-renowned brands such as Grimme, Spudnik, Milestone, and Mooij Agro. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical mindset and a passion for building and maintaining the equipment that keeps farms running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

• Weld, fabricate, and assemble metal components for specialized agricultural equipment using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
• Repair and refurbish equipment to ensure peak performance and durability.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
• Collaborate with service and technical teams to diagnose and resolve machinery issues.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
• Support the installation, customization, and retrofitting of equipment from partner brands including Grimme, Spudnik, and Milestone.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder, ideally with exposure to agricultural or heavy-duty equipment.
• Familiarity with farm machinery, particularly for row crop farming (potatoes, carrots, onions, etc.).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Forklift certification is an asset, or willingness to obtain.
