Job Title: Warehouse Order Planner
Department: Logistics & Warehouse Operations
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
Salary: $22.5 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Order Planner to support the day-to-day logistics and warehouse operations. In this role, you'll assist the Warehouse Supervisor in coordinating the flow of materials, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
You will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, supporting shipping and receiving processes, and collaborating with various departments to troubleshoot issues and improve operational workflows. Your contribution will directly support the smooth functioning of the warehouse and help deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Inventory & Procurement
- Submit purchase orders to external vendors for the replenishment of consumables, raw materials, and narcotics.
- Monitor inventory levels and perform movement/consumption analysis to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies by coordinating with departments such as Finance and Inventory Control.
Warehouse Operations - Oversee the receiving, labeling, and system posting of all inbound shipments.
- Supervise the efficient put-away of received items into designated storage locations.
- Manage the picking and packing of goods for compounding and finished product orders.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all outbound shipments.
Team Coordination & Logistics - Act as a liaison between the warehouse and departments including Procurement, Planning, Customer Service, Maintenance, Pharmacy, and Production.
- Coordinate transportation providers for outbound shipments and troubleshoot logistical issues.
- Provide support and guidance to warehouse team members; serve as a temporary backup when needed.
Compliance & Reporting - Maintain operations in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GxP) and other quality standards.
- Prepare and submit reports to support warehouse performance metrics and KPIs.
- Assist in performance feedback and evaluations for operations staff.
Collaboration - Internal: Regular interaction with Logistics Operators, Compounders, Clean Room Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, and Purchasing team.
- External: Communication with suppliers and transportation companies.
Working Conditions - Physical Requirements: 50% of work involves standing, lifting (up to 30 lbs), reaching, and operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks and pallet jacks. A buddy system is used for heavier loads.
- Environment: Clean and quiet warehouse setting.
- PPE: Safety footwear required at all times; additional PPE (e.g., gloves, masks) required based on tasks.
- Sensory Demands: High attention required for equipment use and computer tasks (80% screen-based).
Qualifications - Post-secondary education required.
- Must be eligible to act as an A/QPIC for handling narcotics.
- Valid certification for Raymond Reach and Power Walkie Rider.
- At least 4 years of experience in warehouse operations (experience in pharmaceuticals is an asset).
- Must have experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM, SD, LE) and RF/WMS scanners.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
- Ability to work rotating shifts as needed.
