VP – Commercial Lender
Location: Ridgefield, CT OR Westport, CT (Onsite)
Type: Direct hire
Compensation: $140,000–$170,000 base + Incentives ($10K–$25K OTE)
Who we’re looking for: A community-driven Commercial Lender who thrives in a collaborative, low-ego environment. You’ll step into a well-run book of business from a retiring lender, bringing your relationship-building expertise, financial acumen, and entrepreneurial spirit to help deepen and expand client relationships—especially in C&I and CRE lending. Responsibilities
Manage and grow a high-quality commercial loan portfolio (CRE, C&I, SBA).
Develop new business opportunities through community engagement and COI networks.
Analyze financial statements, structure deals, and partner closely with Credit Administration.
Own the lending process from origination to documentation—no passing the baton.
Partner with a small, experienced team and contribute to a supportive, non-competitive culture.
Represent the bank in local events and maintain a strong community presence.
Ideal background:
1–5+ years of experience in commercial lending, credit, or underwriting.
Strong financial analysis skills; able to interpret borrower/guarantor statements.
Relationship-first mindset and a passion for helping businesses succeed.
Previous experience in a community or relationship bank is a big plus.
Ready to grow under the mentorship of senior leadership in a tight-knit team of 9.
