Job description: HVAC Technician
Location: Taber, Alberta (with travel across Alberta & Saskatchewan)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Wage: $25 - $35 per hour (depending on experience)

We’re looking for a dedicated HVAC Technician to support farmers specializing in row crops such as potatoes, carrots, onions, beans, and garlic. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining and optimizing equipment and systems used across all stages of agricultural production—from planting to storage.

Requirements: - Install, maintain, and repair heating and ventilation systems in various crop storage environments.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate setups and efficient repairs.
- Troubleshoot issues like refrigerant leaks, compressor failures, or thermostat problems.
- Ensure HVAC systems operate safely and effectively, performing system diagnostics and testing.
- Collaborate with farmers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely, budget-conscious project delivery.
- Maintain work logs, cost reports, and safety documentation.
- Train apprentices and guide junior technicians.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices through ongoing learning and certifications.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary certification in HVAC is preferred)
- Prior experience working on HVAC systems
- Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to work in confined spaces
- Strong troubleshooting, technical, and interpersonal skills
- A self-starter who thrives independently and within a team
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote job sites
