Located in the heart of the Mid West, the school is based in a small town and has over 100 students from Kindergarten to Year 12, with the majority of students identifying as Aboriginal. The school has strong connections with local Aboriginal families and culture, with students having the opportunity to learn the local language from expert teachers. Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers play a vital role in supporting the learning community, providing cultural guidance, and maintaining strong connections between the school and the local community. The school places significant emphasis on literacy and numeracy, student well-being, attendance, and early intervention. The school is part of the MultiLit - Closing the Gap program to support strong literacy foundations for early years children, and for mathematics incorporates Origo Maths. The school has high expectations to become lifelong learners, showing respect for culture themselves and others and striving for a strong future.
