Exciting opportunities are available for engaging and adaptable primary teachers at a small school in the Kimberley. This role is ideal for an educator who is eager to embrace a unique experience while making a meaningful impact.
The school enrols approximately 70 students from Kindergarten to Year 10, with class sizes ranging from 6 to 15 students. You will work alongside Aboriginal Educators in a team-teaching model, delivering culturally responsive learning aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum. Many students speak English as a second or third language, with Kriol, Nyikina and Walmajarri commonly spoken at home. A genuine respect for Aboriginal ways of life, together with a willingness to learn from and engage with the local community, is essential.
The community includes a clinic, Health and Aged Care kitchen and office, community store, football oval and basketball courts.
These are full-time, six-month positions commencing Term 1, 2027. There is a strong likelihood of extension, however, initial contracts will be offered for six months.

- Salary between $88,178 to $127,737

How to Succeed! To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess and/or demonstrate,
- TRBWA teaching registration and Working With Children clearance check (or ability to obtain one)
- A knowledgeable educator with a strong interest in Aboriginal culture
- Comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum
- A high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher
- The capacity to differentiate and cater for different learning needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good administrative skills
- Ability to create and maintain relationships and listen to the needs of the students, school and community
