Are you a passionate and engaging primary teacher looking to teach in a community school in the Pilbara from the beginning of the school year until February 27th? Do you inspire to teach in a culturally rich school, whilst only living 90 minutes from a regional centre? A remote Aboriginal community school is currently seeking a short term teacher for their Year 2-4 class.
Located in the Pilbara, approximately 1.5 hours from Port Hedland, the school has approximately 50 students enrolled from Kindergarten to Year 12 and is currently a three-teacher school. The school values and promotes the cultural heritage of its students and consistently utilises and builds upon the local cultural knowledge and experiences of the students, their family and their community. The language, culture and history of the students and their community is highly respected and embraced by the school and its programs. Literacy, numeracy and On-Country learning are central components of the school's curriculum. This is a full time position from the beginning of the year until 27th of February. There is flexibility to begin 27th of January if you would like meet before and go over the program, otherwise students are back on the 2nd of March.
