Situated in a small coastal community, approximately 400 km from Darwin, a Children and Family Centre is offering a unique opportunity for dedicated and passionate educator.
As the Director of a Children and Family Centre, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring compliance with policies, government regulations, and the National Quality Standards. You'll design, implement, and evaluate programs in collaboration with staff and the Programs Manager, while driving continuous improvement and cultural safety. As a responsible person, you will provide clear supervision and direction, foster strong partnerships with families and the community, uphold child-safe and WHS practices, and model the organisation's vision, values, and philosophy. As part of a talented and professional team, you'll lead a child-led approach that fosters creativity and collaboration. With a deep respect for local culture and language, you will ensure these values are at the core of the service, empowering children and strengthening their connection to their community.
As one of the largest remote communities in Australia, the community has a range of services including an art centre, a Catholic school, police and emergency services, local government services, a community store and an airstrip. This opportunity will allow you to fully experience and appreciate both the rewards and challenges of working in remote Australia.
