A remote Aboriginal community school is currently seeking two primary trained teachers for their Year 2-4 class and Senior Years class who have a strong knowledge of the curriculum to embrace On-Country learning and project-based Two-way learning through cross-cultural themes.
Located in the Pilbara, approximately 1.5 hours from Port Hedland, the school has approximately 50 students enrolled from Kindergarten to Year 12 and is currently a three-teacher school. The language, culture and history of the students and their community is highly respected and embraced by the school and its programs. Literacy, numeracy and On-Country learning are central components of the school’s curriculum. The school values learning; the wisdom of their Elders; belonging and harmony; equal and every opportunity; healthy living; honesty; respect for self and others; and courage – for a strong future.
