As the Physical Education (PE) teacher, you’ll promote physical fitness, healthy living, and teamwork through engaging lessons in sports, games, and fitness activities. You will teach essential physical skills, ensure safety, and educate students about exercise, nutrition, and injury prevention while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play. You will assess students’ abilities, adapt activities to suit diverse needs, and help to organise school sports events and teams. By serving as a role model for an active lifestyle, you will inspire lifelong health and well-being, building students' confidence and fostering a positive attitude toward physical activity.
This is a full-time position for 2025, with possibility of extending.

- Salary between $92,215 and $131,349
- Relocation to the region from the applicants nearest Australian capital city to Alice Springs.

What I need to succeed! To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess and/or demonstrate:
- TRBNT registration and ochre card (or ability to obtain one)
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in education
- Ability to plan, prepare and deliver teaching and learning programs to meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of students; which are consistent with relevant curriculum policies, work programs and education trends.
- Knowledge of and the ability to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes, including the use of learning technology and assessment, to establish a challenging learning environment in which students are encouraged to work towards attainment of their potential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students through appropriate interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to establishing and maintaining a supportive learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with school staff, parents and members of the local school community in order to establish and develop productive partnerships, in an intercultural environment to achieve optimal educational outcomes.
