We’re looking for an experienced Welder to join our team and help us deliver high-quality metal fabrication work across our building projects within our Victoria Operations, based in Kangaroo Flat.
This is a great opportunity to secure ongoing work, with roles available on either a casual basis (40-hour week with RDO included) or on a maximum term contract, depending on what suits you best. We’re looking for someone who can start ASAP (mid-July), with work confirmed through to November 2026.
In this role, you’ll be hands-on with welding, fabrication, and structural assembly tasks that directly contribute to the quality and integrity of our modular units.
You’ll work alongside a tight-knit team, following established processes to meet safety, quality, and production targets. If you enjoy practical work, take pride in precision, and like seeing the results of your craftsmanship come to life, you’ll feel right at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a range of welding techniques and metal fabrication tasks
- Read and interpret drawings before starting work
- Fabricate wall and roof frames
- Prepare materials, cut steel, and operate welding and cutting equipment
- Use hand tools to shape and assemble building materials
- Maintain high standards of quality and minimise waste
- Keep the weld bay clean and organised
- Work safely and follow all WHSEQ procedures, PPE requirements, and reporting processes
What you’ll bring
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar welding or fabrication role
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication and building products
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- A strong focus on safety, quality, and accuracy
- Good communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and complete tasks on time
- High attention to detail and initiative
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Construction White Card
- High Risk Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential)
