About the role:
We’re currently seeking skilled and motivated Welders / Boilermakers to join our team in High Wycombe. This is a casual position with genuine potential to transition into full-time employment.
You’ll work Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:00pm, with overtime available after 2:00pm and on Saturdays depending on workload.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of welding and metal fabrication tasks, contributing to the production of high-quality modular structures. You’ll work closely with your team to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
Casual rate: $56.25 per hour.
Key responsibilities:
- Fabricate steel modular building components to specification using various welding techniques.
- Accurately measure, mark, and cut steel using oxy, plasma, or mechanical methods.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly.
- Operate workshop equipment safely and maintain a clean, organised work area.
- Uphold high standards of quality control and ensure materials meet required specifications.
- Support team development by mentoring apprentices and managing workloads effectively.
About You: You’re a qualified and experienced Welder / Boilermaker with a strong work ethic and a passion for quality craftsmanship. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: - A Welding/Fabrication Trade Qualification or equivalent experience with strong trade skills
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar welding or fabrication role
- A current White Card (Construction Card)
- A valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Manual Handling Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Experience using a broad range of tools of the trade
- A proactive ‘can-do’ attitude and eagerness to learn
- Proficiency in MIG welding (GMAW – solid wire) with the ability to pass a weld test
- Forklift high‑risk licence (desirable but not essential)
- Overhead crane and dogging tickets (advantageous but not essential)
