Business Analyst – Warehousing & 3PL Logistics | Sydney Olympic Park | Hybrid
We’re partnering with a leading organisation within the Government and Defence logistics space to recruit a Business Analyst with strong expertise in warehousing operations and 3PL logistics.
This is not a data warehousing role – we’re looking for someone with real-world experience in physical warehouse environments, ideally within ERP/WMS-driven operations. The focus of this position is 70% business-facing and 30% technical (systems). You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, define requirements, and support the delivery of system solutions. This role spans the full project lifecycle – from discovery and documentation through to implementation and go-live.
What you’ll be doing:
•Leading business requirements workshops and stakeholder discussions
•Translating business needs into functional specifications and process maps
•Supporting warehouse and logistics-focused projects (WMS, ERP, 3PL)
•Delivering high-quality documentation: BRDs, solution designs, test cases, integration specs and more
•Facilitating user acceptance testing, change requests, and go-live planning
•Contributing to RFP responses and proposals for warehouse/logistics solutions
•Engaging across business, IT and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution
What we’re looking for:
•Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst
•Proven experience in warehouse management systems (WMS) and operations – this is essential
•Strong background in 3PL logistics and supply chain environments
•Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end solutions – from requirements gathering to go-live
•Confident working in both support and project-based roles
•Skilled in MS Visio, PowerPoint, and standard BA documentation tools
•Exceptional communication skills – able to speak the language of both business users and tech teams
•Experience with SAP is desirable, but not essential
A few more things to know:
•This role is based in Sydney Olympic Park with a hybrid model: 3 days in office, 2 from home
•You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident due to the nature of the work
•You’ll be joining a collaborative team with a strong delivery mindset and supportive leadership
If you’re a Business Analyst who thrives in warehouse and logistics environments and is looking to contribute to meaningful, large-scale projects – we’d love to hear from you.
