Are you an experienced Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco/Juniper/Arista environments? We’re representing a large Australian Managed Service Provider seeking a skilled professional to join their team on a short-term daily rate contract. This role is ideal for a certified expert ready to make an immediate impact in a dynamic data centre environment.
 
About the Role
This is a 1-month contract position to provide critical support during a certification gap. You will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive audit of the client’s networking infrastructure across their four data centres and assisting with key network-related blockers to enable a seamless VMware migration to Hyper-V.
 
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform a detailed audit of existing networking infrastructure, including Cisco, Juniper, and Arista systems, identifying areas for improvement and legacy configurations.
•Provide expert guidance on updating and optimising networking configurations, including removing references to legacy systems and clients.
•Collaborate with the internal team to address network-related issues impacting current projects, including a VMware to Hyper-V migration.
•Deliver actionable recommendations to strengthen and streamline the organisation’s networking capabilities.
 
About You
The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with a proactive mindset and the ability to quickly adapt to new environments.
 
Qualifications and Experience:
•Certifications: CCNP Enterprise or CCIE Enterprise (required for compliance with an ongoing audit).
•Proven experience managing networking infrastructure in Cisco, Juniper, and Arista environments.
•Strong background in data centre operations, including network optimisation and legacy configuration clean-up.
•Familiarity with VMware migrations, Hyper-V, and related networking dependencies.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide strategic guidance on network improvements.
