Our client, a leader in IT solutions, is seeking a Procurement Officer to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth procurement processes, fostering communication with vendors, customers, and internal teams, and delivering efficient solutions for clients.
About the Role
The Procurement Officer facilitates the purchase of third-party goods and services, supporting the Service Delivery team to deliver optimal outcomes for clients. This role is fast-paced and highly engaging, requiring excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills. Key responsibilities include:
• Managing procurement requests from internal teams and clients.
• Generating and processing quotes, managing stock levels, and tracking order progress.
• Maintaining supplier relationships to ensure optimal margins and deal registration for large opportunities.
• Overseeing services such as software licenses and hardware warranties, including renewals.
• Ensuring accurate client records and contributing to client invoicing and reconciliation processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Procurement Management: Efficiently turn around quotes, maintain stock levels, and process supplier orders.
• Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers to secure the best margins and ongoing support.
• Client Engagement: Communicate with the team and clients about order progress, delays, or issues.
• Data and Systems: Maintain up-to-date client records, ensure clean pipelines in HaloPSA, and manage onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Team Collaboration: Support monthly and interim client invoicing and reconciliation of delivered goods.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to enhancing processes and systems for greater efficiency.
Required:
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
• 3 + Years working in Procurement
• Worked previously within an IT company
• Strong communication abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• A current Working With Children’s Check, NDIS Check, and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
