A leading retail and supply chain organisation is seeking an experienced SAP Security Delivery Lead  to drive the design, governance, and optimisation of SAP access across a complex enterprise environment.
 
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable SAP role design while partnering closely with business, cybersecurity, IAM, and technical teams.

The Opportunity
 
This position blends strategic leadership with hands-on governance, offering the chance to shape SAP access practices across a large, multi-module landscape.
 
You will lead role design standards, oversee the full role lifecycle, and play a critical role in audit readiness, risk mitigation, and identity governance.

Key Responsibilities
 
Strategic Leadership

• Define and maintain SAP role design strategy aligned with compliance and future-state architecture (e.g. S/4HANA, SAP BTP).
• Lead and mentor the SAP roles team, building capability and reducing key-person risk.
• Promote standardised governance practices across the organisation.
• Partner with business, IT, cybersecurity, IAM, and audit stakeholders.

 
Operational Governance

• Oversee the full SAP role lifecycle: design, deployment, review, and retirement.
• Ensure compliance with segregation of duties (SoD) and least-privilege principles.
• Implement and maintain SoD rulesets and remediate conflicts.
• Coordinate user access reviews and role recertification campaigns.
• Prepare audit documentation and drive remediation actions.
• Optimise role design to reduce complexity and improve accuracy.
• Leverage IAM tools to automate provisioning and compliance checks.

About You
 
Essential Experience

• 7+ years in SAP security, role design, or access governance.
• Proven leadership experience, including mentoring or leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, HR) and Fiori role architecture.
• Deep understanding of IAM principles and enterprise integration.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience implementing compliant access controls.

 
Desirable

• Experience with SAP GRC, S/4HANA, and SAP BTP.
• Exposure to automation or scripting for provisioning/reporting.
