Design BW/4HANA solutions and deliver ERP analytics
We are seeking an experienced SAP BW Developer to join a high-performing enterprise data and analytics team based in Sydney CBD. This role requires strong hands-on SAP BW expertise and the ability to work with key business stakeholders. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting SAP BW solutions that enable high-quality enterprise reporting and analytics. You’ll translate complex business requirements into scalable data models and efficient ETL processes, while ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity across the landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and translate reporting and data requirements
Design and develop SAP BW data models (InfoObjects, ADSOs/DSOs, InfoCubes, CompositeProviders, MultiProviders)
Build and maintain ETL processes including DataSources, Transformations, DTPs, Process Chains, and Open Hub
Develop BW queries and reporting solutions using BEx Query Designer, Analysis for Office, or Eclipse-based tools
Optimise performance across BW on HANA / BW/4HANA environments (pushdown, ELT, partitioning, indexing)
Integrate SAP BW with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, third-party systems, and BI tools such as SAP BO, SAC, Lumira, and Power BI
Provide technical specifications, unit/integration testing, and documentation
Support production incidents and resolve data inconsistencies
Contribute to upgrades, migrations (BW to BW/4HANA), and data governance initiatives
Collaborate closely with BASIS, ABAP, and Data Governance teams
Required Skills & Experience
Strong SAP BW experience including InfoObjects, ADSO/DSO, InfoCubes, CompositeProviders, and InfoSources
Hands-on ETL experience: DataSources, Transformations, DTPs, Process Chains, PSA
Experience with BW Modeling Tools (Eclipse), SAP GUI, and BW Administration Cockpit
Solid understanding of SAP HANA (modeling, pushdown, performance tuning, partitioning)
