A successful and growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) is currently seeking for an experienced Systems Engineer to be responsible for supporting public cloud environments (primarily Azure) and critical client infrastructure.
You will have a broad technical expertise, particularly in Microsoft Azure, Windows technologies, high-availability (HA) setups, backup solutions, firewalls, switches, and storage technologies. A hands-on experience with both physical infrastructure deployments and virtual environments, including workload migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Azure Environments: Oversee the setup and management of Azure IaaS and Virtual Desktop resources.
Administer Windows Servers: Install and support Windows Server systems for optimal performance and security.
Implement Virtualisation: Deploy and maintain virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
Configure Networking Components: Set up and manage firewalls, routers, and switches for secure network connectivity.
Manage Storage Solutions: Maintain storage systems (SAN/NAS) to meet client data needs.
Oversee Backup Management: Implement and manage backup solutions using Veeam and Datto SaaS Protect.
Develop Automation Scripts: Create scripts to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Support Workload Migrations: Plan and execute the migration of workloads to cloud environments with minimal disruption.
Conduct Security Assessments: Evaluate and improve security policies to protect client data.
Collaborate with Teams: Work with internal teams and clients to identify needs and resolve issues effectively.
Key Requirements:
5+ years experience in Systems, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Administration.
Experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
Strong Windows Server administration skills.
Proven expertise with Microsoft Azure, including IaaS and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, and domain management.
Proficient in VMware or Hyper-V virtualization.
Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Experience managing SAN/NAS storage with a focus on availability and scalability.
Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions, such as Veeam or Datto SaaS Protect.
Microsoft Azure certification required.
Strong communication skills for effective client and team interactions.
Salary Package: $120,000-$130,000 (incl. super)
