The Company
A privately owned Civil Construction Company offering you a chance to work closely with directors. With a sizeable property development project pipeline, respected leadership and cohesive working culture this is a great chance to work on high-quality civil infrastructure solutions for government, councils and developers.
Your role
Reporting to the Directors, you'll be responsible for driving Site Operations and embodying strong technical, communication, and leadership skills across the teams. You'll be hands-on and lead by example, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. You'll be required to:
- Plan workforce needs, recruit personnel, and develop staff through training, mentoring, and leadership identification.
- Promote organisational culture and ensure accountability across employees and subcontractors.
- Manage daily civil construction operations, including supervision and collaboration with engineering and project teams.
- Identify technical issues early, implement corrective actions, and monitor subcontractor performance.
- Support forecasting, resource planning, and coordination to ensure alignment with project design and intent.
- Lead and support Supervisors, including selection, performance development, and emerging leader identification.
- Oversee SHEQ requirements through inspections, risk assessments, incident reporting, and integration of safety into all work processes.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and represent the organisation professionally to ensure expectations are met.
About You
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of civil earthworks, construction and demolition processes.
- Relevant qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering or Project Management (desirable).
- Strong communication, interpersonal and people skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and with clients/subcontractors.
- Proven experience in Construction Project Management.
- Strong planning, organisational, time-management and prioritisation skills to deliver projects and responses on time.
- High attention to detail and ability to work professionally as part of a productive team.
- Current driver’s licence and White Card (OH&S Induction Training).
