Located in the northern suburbs, the board is an innovative, governance-led business facing significant growth and expansion opportunities. This position is a rare find and one for someone eager to develop their executive-level administrative career with creative flair.
Your Role
Answerable to the Chairperson and the board, your role will be influential and responsible for providing advanced administrative and secretarial support to the board, local government and businesses, whilst simultaneously enhancing marketing and branding opportunities to business owners in the region.
The primary focus areas of this position are to:
- Provide administrative and support functions to the board, including accurate and timely preparation and dissemination of correspondence, agendas and minutes
- Take minutes, contribute to local government requirements, and have a voice in local matters
- Plan, organise, schedule, coordinate and manage events
- Create compelling content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and emerging platforms
- Maintain accurate data in the CRM, including volunteer member management
- Raise invoices in MYOB and undertake basic reconciling and reporting duties
- Prepare high quality documentation, reports, and correspondence to support the board’s strategic and day-to-day responsibilities and activities
- Perform research and analysis to support the Board to make decisions that involve complex or escalated issues, longer-term planning, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders
Other Details The position includes flexible work options such as part-time or hybrid but ideally located in the northern suburbs. The organisation prides itself on the interest they take in developing their people, workplace practices and making an enjoyable atmosphere for all.
About You - Experience in working directly with Boards and Executive teams
- Ability to navigate local government and private sector nuances, and adapt with ease seamlessly
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills when liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in document management, including cloud-based options, and board portals
- High skill level in Microsoft 365 Office suite, with advanced skills in Word and Excel
- Working experience in financial software such as MYOB or Xero
- Experience in basic-intermediate graphic design, digital content creation and creative storytelling
- Ability to work autonomously
