Your Role
As the Project Coordinator you will have financial responsibilities and be actively involved in the delivery of projects across various sectors including multi-storey, large format commercial and property development. Your role will be crucial to the success of the project delivery, and one that ensures the costings of each project are accurate, profitable and high quality. Regular duties and responsibilities include:
- Support the Project Team from beginning to end of Project
- Work closely in Procurement Strategies and ensure contract requirements and documentation are met
- Manage variations, EOT and claims for additional payments
- Track project financial forecasts, costs and P&L
- Assist contract finalisations including defects, manuals and variations
- Review work orders and scope of works
- Participate in meetings with banks and lenders, or other parties requiring financial records and documentation
- Prepare reports for the board, project managers and leadership team to support project deadlines and quality control
- Provide support to the project team and site supervisors
- Regularly reviewing costings surrounding materials, labour and expenses
- General financial and administrative duties as required
Other Details The position is a full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday with occasional out of hours contact due to the nature of the industry. You will be part of an organisation with deep foundations in property development and construction and be driven to work in an atmosphere that thrives on hard work. Remuneration guide is up to $140K.
About You - You have relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Construction, Engineering or similar
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a Project Coordinator or Contract Administrator position, in the Commercial Construction Sector
- You have sound experience with Project Management Software
- You have strong financial analysis skills and confidence in negotiating
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in MS 365
- You demonstrate your ability to prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines
- You are familiar with programs such as MYOB or Xero for financial purposes
