Your Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the successful operation of a busy warehouse and dedicated facility. You will work closely with other Team Leaders to ensure a seamless and efficient operation. Daily duties will require you to;
- Review shift tasks and workload at commencement and establish a plan for completion within the time frames allowed
- Allocate labour across the tasks based on expected volume and priorities
- Allocate equipment resourcing across tasks
- Lead, monitor and supervise the team to drive engagement in the tasks, a strong service fulfilment ethic, and proactive response to changing priorities and workloads
- Ensure all areas under the direct control of the team (internal and external) are kept clean and safe, and address any shortcomings immediately
- Control of all delivery and packaging equipment, including yard management, cleaning and repairs as needed
- Work closely with other leading hands (including Cross Dock teams) to coordinate movement of goods both received by the cross dock (inbound) and completed orders for despatch on to vehicles (outbound)
- Provide data and feedback as required to the Warehouse and Inventory Manager
- Ensure labour hire and/or subcontractors used in the execution of tasks are compliant with policies and standards of the business and that individuals are working within all legal requirements
- Provide general support to the Warehouse Manager as required in the fulfilment of the contract
Other Details Full-time, permanent position and salary ranges between $65-76K + Super depending on shift. Various shifts are available, and the hourly rate will be in accordance with the Distribution Facility Employee Award. Located North West of Adelaide.
About you - Experience supervising team members to efficient and time sensitive outcomes
- High Risk Work Licence, Forklift
- Previous experience in order picking in high volume environments
- Ideally, 3+ years warehouse and cross-dock experience
- Ideally refrigerated environments
- Knowledge of HACCP requirements and standards, ideally in a temp controlled environment
- Demonstrated experience in the use of various TMS/WMS platforms and operator/driver hand-held devices
- Cultivating positive relationships and delivering efficient service to both external and internal stakeholders
- Excellent team work skills and focus on health and safety
