The Role: Our Kitchen Hands and Catering Staff play an important role in supporting the delivery of quality meals and dining experiences for our residents. You will work closely with our Chefs and kitchen team to assist with meal preparation, kitchen operations and meal service, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and presentation.

What you will do:

• Assist with meal preparation, including preparing ingredients, plating and serving meals
• Assist the Chef and catering team with general kitchen duties
• Prepare and distribute meals, snacks and drinks to residents
• Support dining room and meal service
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and food service environment
• Follow food safety, hygiene and dietary requirements
• Complete required documentation and reporting

What you will bring: 

• Currently hold a NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain) – MANDATORY - https://www.workerscreening.qld.gov.au/
• Valid Working rights in Australia - MANDATORY
• Hospitality or Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and Empathy
• An understanding of resident rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes (highly regarded but not essential)
