We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our Perth team and play a key role in preparing and delivering major electrical and infrastructure tenders. The successful candidate will have strong experience in electrical estimating, with a background in electrical construction, infrastructure or the energy sector.
About the Role
Working within the Estimating and Pre Contracts team, you will be responsible for developing detailed, accurate and commercially competitive estimates across a range of major electrical and infrastructure projects.
You will work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, subcontractors and suppliers to develop tenders from initial scope through to submission.
Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions
• Developing first principles estimates across labour, materials, plant and subcontractors
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, scopes and project requirements
• Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Preparing detailed cost breakdowns, pricing schedules and tender documentation
• Identifying project risks, assumptions, exclusions and commercial opportunities
• Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and the broader Pre Contracts team
• Supporting tender reviews, value engineering and commercial analysis
• Managing multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast paced environment
About You
• Demonstrated experience in electrical estimating within construction, infrastructure, energy or utilities
• Experience with major electrical, power, transmission or distribution projects
• Strong understanding of electrical construction methodologies
• Experience with first principles estimating and tender preparation
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and scopes of work
• Strong commercial and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing tender deadlines
