We are currently seeking experienced Transmission Riggers to join our team working on the Clean Energy Link project in Western Australia.
The Clean Energy Link is a major transmission infrastructure project designed to increase network capacity and enable additional renewable energy generation to connect into WA’s electricity network.
About the Project The project scope includes:
• Construction of new transmission infrastructure and associated transmission lines
• New terminal builds at Regans Ford and Eneabba
• Upgrades to existing 330kV Northern Terminal and Eneabba Terminal infrastructure
• New 330kV and 132kV terminal works
• Existing line conversion and network reinforcement works
About the Role As a Transmission Rigger, you will support the construction, assembly, and erection of transmission line infrastructure across the project.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing rigging and dogging activities associated with transmission line construction
• Assisting with tower assembly, erection, and structural installation
• Safely slinging, lifting, positioning, and securing steel structures and transmission components
• Supporting conductor stringing, tensioning, and associated transmission activities
• Inspecting and maintaining rigging equipment and lifting gear
• Following lift plans, SWMS, work instructions, and project procedures
• Working safely with crane operators, doggers, and construction crews
• Participating in pre-starts and toolbox meetings while maintaining a strong safety focus
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Previous experience in transmission line construction, assembly, and erection works
• Relevant High Risk Work Licence (Rigging)
• Construction White Card
• Experience working at heights in a construction environment
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality outcomes
Pay & Conditions
Hourly Rates:
• Transmission Rigger – Basic: $49.14/hr
• Transmission Rigger – Intermediate: $50.23/hr
• Transmission Rigger – Advanced: $51.32/hr
Plus applicable penalty rates in accordance with the GNI Enterprise Agreement.
Working Hours:
• 11 hour shift including a 30-minute unpaid meal break
Project Locations: works across Malaga, Regans Ford, and Eneabba, WA
WA Roster: 6 days on, 1 day off
East Coast Roster: 3 weeks on, 1 week off (flights provided)
Camp Allowance: $80 per day (taxable) when staying in camp accommodation
